Wei Zhou is a Partner of KPCB China based in Beijing. He brings with him over ten years of operational experiences with leading technology companies in various functions and regions in China. His focus areas of investment include internet, wireless, consumer services, media and green tech. Wei serves on the boards of Green Bio-Science Co., GAMFE Ltd., Chiral Quest Co., Datuu.com, etc.

Prior to joining KPCB China, Wei served as the CEO and Chairman of Shanghai Hanbo Technology Co., a leading e-payment solution provider in China. In this role, Wei successfully led the strategic merger and acquisition of Hanbo, its post-merger integration and business model transformation. In addition, Wei held various managerial and operational positions during his eight years at Start Computer Group, and its subsidiary Start Computer Equipment, including Vice President, Business Director and District General Manager. There he directed teams focusing on product management, business development, corporate operation and M&A.

Wei holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
