XiaoNing joined KPCB China in 2007 as Director, Legal.  She is primarily responsible for advising the funds regarding investment structures, and identifying and evaluating legal risk involved, and reviewing and negotiating the legal documentation.  She also advises our GPs and fund managers on matters concerning general corporate matters including legal compliance.

Prior to joining KPCB China, XiaoNing spent 5 years in JAFCO Asia's legal department where she was responsible for advising the investment department regarding deal structuring, legal compliance and reviewing the legal documentation for investments in various countries including the PR China, Taiwan, Australia and Korea.

Before becoming an in-house counsel, XiaoNing was a PRC law consultant for more than 7 years in the corporate finance department of leading Singapore law firms including Rodyk & Davidson.  She gained extensive experience in merger and acquisitions involving assets and operations in China, banking, private equity investments and commercial and residential property development and financing.

Xiaoning graduated from Peking University with an LLB.
