BOSTON – September 4, 2013 – Apperian, Inc., the enterprise mobile application management (MAM) pioneer, today announced the release of its ApperianONE™ program which enables enterprises to distribute and manage a single enterprise mobile app and unlimited public apps at no cost, for up to 100,000 employees. Based on the award-winning Apperian EASE® platform, the release of ApperianONE comes at a time when enterprises world-wide are struggling to mobilize workforces with overly burdensome systems that fail at deploying apps and driving adoption.
This first-of-its-kind program focuses on providing a risk-free way for businesses to experience a new and effective approach to mobility, one that is focused on easing the burden on organizations and providing users with a consumer-like experience. This is a combination that drives employee adoption rates across the enterprise. In contrast to traditional methods, which have been shown to hamper user adoption rates, Apperian does not require use of an SDK or intrusive and cumbersome device-side technologies, such as proprietary containers or mobile device management (MDM) profiles.
“App adoption rates are surprisingly low given the rate of device proliferation occurring in today’s modern enterprise, as often times companies are led to believe that application management is a check-box and simple app stores are sufficient to drive adoption,” said Eric Klein senior mobility analyst for VDC Research. “The reality is that it takes more than that to get enterprise mobile apps adopted by employees. ApperianONE allows enterprises to get a first-hand look at an efficient and effective way to manage the entire lifecycle of application deployment that can lead to higher levels of app usage.”
ApperianONE allows any company to use Apperian’s cloud-based platform to distribute and manage from a private and branded app store, one custom-built mobile app as well as an unlimited set of company-recommended public apps, for free. Enterprises can now experience the speed and simplicity of getting mobile apps into the hands of users who need them. Behind the app store is a rich set of mobile app-lifecycle services that makes managing the mobile apps a breeze.
“As a leader of Maxim’s sales productivity and enablement team, I expect our sales organization to easily connect and use the apps and data that help them drive business and build successful relationships with our customers. With the help of Apperian, mobility has been made easy,” said Robert Lacis, director of sales operations at Maxim Integrated. “The Apperian solution is exciting because it gives businesses of all sizes the chance to see and experience just how easily mobility can be.”
As part of this offering, ApperianONE includes capabilities that manage the full app lifecycle including, app-signing services, detailed usage reporting, user feedback, app ratings, support for configuration profiles and Apperian’s acclaimed iOS App Remote Control, ApperianONE goes beyond just an introductory app store.
“My team focuses on producing the best software development tools so that our customers can build great mobile apps,” said Nat Friedman, CEO and founder of Xamarin. “The problem is, just because you build and deploy a great enterprise app, that doesn’t mean users will embrace and use it. Apperian is taking on the app adoption issue and showing enterprises how easy it is to create, secure, manage and deploy apps so that adoption rates skyrocket on their own.”
“The device-centric approach to enterprise mobility management has run its course and failed to deliver app adoption benefits as-promised,” said David Patrick, CEO of Apperian. “A new approach is needed, and as the MAM pioneer, we want to simply remove all barriers and excuses and make our platform available to any organization that has made mobility a priority and is struggling at managing and deploying enterprise mobile apps. We’ve powered world-class mobile deployments at some of the largest industry leading companies and we want to do that for others, risk-free. ApperianONE will combat the unfortunate reality of the state of enterprise mobility and I firmly believe we have the solution to drive mobile adoption.”
“Distributing the first app within an enterprise is always difficult,” said Aaron Hillegass, founder of Big Nerd Ranch. “The developer really needs a complete mobile app distribution system, but the organization is seldom ready to make that sort of commitment. The ApperianONE program will make it easy for the first app to reach its user, and will make the importance of comprehensive mobile application management obvious.”
For companies that wish to deploy more than one custom app or would like to leverage Apperian’s full set of premium features, ApperianONE customers may seamlessly upgrade to the Apperian Enterprise edition.
