What role do women play in the design of leading technology products and services?
That’s a tricky question. It’s no secret that women are under-represented in the executive ranks and board rooms of the world’s technology companies. But how do they fare when it comes to tech product design?
KPCB General Partner John Doerr led a discussion on this topic with four high-profile entrepreneurs during a panel at the Aspen Ideas Festival on June 30. The Kleiner Perkins partner led the discussion with Flipboard co-founder & CEO Mike McCue, Nest founder & CEO Tony Fadell, Path co-founder & CEO Dave Morin and product designer Yves Behar.
Sure, the panelists were all men – but they had some encouraging things to say about the prospects for women aspiring to create ground-breaking technology products.
