Aviv Gilboa joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 2014. He helps lead the firm’s Business Development practice responsible for building long-lasting strategic partnerships between Fortune 500 companies and KPCB’s portfolio. Aviv focuses on early-stage consumer digital companies and supports portfolio companies in designing growth marketing and business development strategies. He began at KPCB leading the firm’s digital marketing practice which included content development, distribution, and branding for firm-wide thought leadership initiatives including the Internet Trends Report. Aviv served as a co-author on John Maeda’s acclaimed Design in Tech Report and was the creator and producer of KPCB’s ‘Ventured’ Podcast Series.
Before joining KPCB, Aviv was a student at UC Berkeley where he was cofounder and President of TAMID Investment Group, a program that fosters the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders through hands-on interaction with the Israeli economy. He also served as a Senator for UC Berkeley’s 36,000–member student body working on projects to redevelop major campus buildings, launch a campus-wide honor code, and offer affordable access to public transportation for students throughout the city of Berkeley.
Aviv graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in Political Economy and a Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship from Berkeley’s College of Engineering.
Outside of work, Aviv enjoys attending music concerts with his older sister, traveling the world, and hosting potlucks for his friends. He is fluent in Hebrew and conversational in American Sign Language.
